I've enjoyed HE Spas for quite a few years - and I guess a bit naive but just learned that some are staffed by basically the equivalent of slaves - women brought in against their will w/o being able to buy their way out.

How does one know whether or not the MP one goes to is just a pleasant place where the women will take care of you in a variety of ways - by their own choice - or if it's one where they're slaves, or brought in by others against their will?

Any suggestions would be appreciated - as I hate to give up great massages w/ HEs, but don't want to contribute to slavery.

Who told you that? There are spas with trafficked girls, but they are a small percentage of them. I have never been to one. All the spas I have visited, none of the girls were brought here against their will, they too were naive, thinking they could get out of their country and make a good living here, working in a resturant or office. Once here some without work papers and all without english skills found the options limited. They could be SW, Escort or Spa girl, or go home. Rather than go home without earning any money, they choose 1 of the 3, lack of options yes, but physically forced no.

They can choose what spa they work at and what HJ (hand jobs), BJ (blowjobs) and FS (full service). There may be limits on how much service management will allow.">extras they want to provide and how much they want to provide them for. They keep their tip money in most cases (some spas require a percentage), and send it home at regular intervals (when ever they get vacation or days off).
Talk to the girls, most are happy to share their stories of how they came to the US, some won't.
From what I have read (no 1st hand experience here) but sex slaves do not tell you no when you ask for any services, and they do not typically negociate, as they do not want you to make trouble for them. If your girl is not providing FS or some other service you asked for, and she wants more $$ than you offered, you have a girl who is setting her own rules...
Ask them when they get time off, where they go and such.. Make conversation. A girl who is an unwilling participant, is probably not going to be talking much.

Well it is typical of the media to show the worst of the worst, they find the 1 or 2 places that do have trafficked girls and lump the whole spa industry in with them. It is sensationalized and it brings viewers/readers and sells their product(ads).

None of us here are supporting trafficking or for forcing the girls to work, most I would like to say all, so I will, all of the members here would post if they knew a place was using trafficked girls and we collectively would in all probability boycott it.

If I find a place that is trafficking girls, I would turn them in and I would help the police do a sting. Don't walk away from this kind of thing.

I just saw a series of reruns on MSNBC about Sex Slaves, Czechs, Asians and Central Americans. The Central American story focused on "cantinas" in the Houston Area.

The Asian story dealt specifically with AMPs in San Francisco and Mayor Newsome, plus Health Inspector Walsh who looked like Santa Claus, and a Nigerian doctor.

I am a radical opponent of sexual slavery and all other kinds of involuntary servitude. I have tried hard to communicate with my AMP providers, even if I have to draw pictures and use and jestures, to show them respect and build a positive relationship. I have not discerned any abuse or slavery. However, I often have wondered why many of them, seemingly the better ones, seldom stay more than a few months at one place.

I would give up my hobby tomorrow if I knew my provider was a slave and I could free her.

Does it happen? Yes, in store front AMPs? Hardly ever, those licensed (business license not massage licensed) are subject to inspection regularly, so it is unlikely there will ever be sex slaves in a store front spa that advertises regularly.

In unadvertised, closed locations with no signs or indication of any business being present, or a condo or rotated in and out of motel incalls? Yep, you would likely find them there.

However "traffiked" girls are another story, not all human traffiked girls are sex slaves. I know a number of spa girls who were traffiked here (those who entered the country by paying someone and expecting a different line of work that did not pan out for someone with no english skills and no work visa). But they are free to do what they want, they paid in advance for their travel and no additional money was due upon arrival that they have to pay off. They choose spa work because it has such a high income potential vs working in a nail salon or resturant. Traffiked in but not slaves. Most Hispanic illegals are traffiked by the definition but they are not sex slaves or slaves either, but they paid someone to help them get into the US to make some money.

Lets not let the media convince us that all "traffiked" persons are 'slaves' of any kind. The majority of them are not slaves since they paid for the travel in advance(clearly the perfered method for the traffiker since there is less risk and they get their money and very little chance the person will lead LE back to them in the future).

Those who "front" the expense then demand the girls work in the sex trade want to be paid off quickly before the heat is on. High risk.

Just want to post my appreciation to all for participating in this thread....the unlikely, semi-anonymous kinship among us I believe rests upon the assumption that participation in this hobby is essentially HARMLESS. [i][u]. (notwithstanding our household budgets or marital relations).

I've never seen a review or comment where anyone talks about mistreating or humiliating a provider, and at the end of the day, they are very much in charge of what goes on "in there." Our only recourse options pertain to tipping, returning, and reviewing.

SHEEEEF-IT! I think I'll encourage my wife to give up teaching yoga and start making $300/ day providing HJ and HE....although she probably won't be able to conceal her age as well as they do
