Greetings,
Its been 7 months since I've been active on EMP, and went to Rubmaps. I was just curious if the same problems still exist with cc fraud and lack of customer support.
The Modesto/Stockton area have been jumping lately with new spa's/ladies, but a new spa that I added and reviewed in May has not been listed yet and no credit given for the entry, so why bother?(that spa has changed names twice since)
EMP is really where I "got my feet wet" in the hobby, and the format is much better than other sights. So what I guess I'm asking, would it be worth coming back?

"Amperage" Sometimes the reviews don't show up very quickly...or else not too many involved in our "hobby" aren't posting reviews...or even commenting in the "Forum" sections.
I, too, have put a review of a new AMP, but it hasn't shown up yet. I have typed the name of the AMP in and it will come on the screen...but not on the list of AMPs in the state.
As for the credit card problems, I had always been lucky, I guess, because I have never had one compromised on this site. The stories about the card problems were starting to get numerous so the last time I had to re-new my membership I went to a grocery store and bought a "single-use" credit card. The downside of using one of these is that a $50 card cost something like another $5.50. However if it saves you the time and effort of canceling a compromised card, and then getting a new card issued...and then waiting 7 to 10 days to get it, it is worth the five bucks.

@ Amperage - nice to see you here, Bro - sadly though, things ain't great here in EMP land.


Trying to add new AMP businesses that open and submitting pix/reviews the way it used to work where customer support was fast and responsive really is a thing of the past. When VIP runs out for me I won't be paying to renew and given the way others have reported their experience of trying to add new AMP spots and support not doing anything to extend their VIP membership the way it used to be so great I think I'll just stop EMP altogether.

RM in the Sac area is so full of fake reviews that I didn't re-up there. For the Sac area we share off-the-books with known guys but openly posting reviews on this site seems to be very much a vague memory. Many AMP closings because of LE VICE busts caused many of us to share only away from the public eye and the AMP scene is still super active and constantly adding new options, but it's just that EMP as an established resource is pretty much history. Dammit.

We sure had lots of good times in the past and it was a 1 helluva ride while it lasted though.

ya this site is not the same, i posted a new amp and review and its been over 2 weeks and they haven't posted it. With the site lacking like that, there's no reason now to renew my subscription.

I am not quite ready to see this site die. This place is still working ok to share info with certain members that you get to know. That is how I learned about "safe shop" I think it is called. You can get details online but basically your cc company gives you a cc number that you set up the limit and time before it expires, worked good for me.

I'm relatively new to this, but haven't had any CC issues, I've only used it twice and I only use it to pay at the door, I always tip in cash. I'm from the Modesto/Manteca/Stockton area and they are popping up, but damn there's allot of turn over. I've posted a few reviews for Manteca, close to where I live. I found a great gal out there, perfect! Went back, they had changed owners and she was gone, damn I was bummed! I'm going to keep at it and hope things come back around. Good Luck out there you guys.

The credit card issues are not at spas, they are due to CC compromise when paying for membership on the site. They have never even acknowledges the problem let alone fix it. The ability to add a spa no longer exits, you submit and it goes to a black hole. Customer service is now non-existent, maybe it is all robotic now.

@boss777 I hope the site is looking at our conversation right now because I try to contribute to the site as much as I can, but with my post not even showing up of a review i made 2+weeks ago, there's no telling how many reviews are still pending. Why would I continue to pay money on this site if that's the way we are going to get treated?

SacMP, I doubt EMP is looking otherwise things would have changed a long time ago. Seems they do not care cause you get no response from them at all. I have also submitted reviews that never got posted.
I agree with you, why should we keep paying when it seems the ship is sinking, but there is still a little activity so I am going to hang in there a bit longer and see how things play out.

Thanks guys, looks to me like EMP has gone to auto pilot with nobody manning the bridge. But 12 posts to my question show there are still several of us out there.
Its good you guys have a buddy system to keep in touch in the Sac area, but here in this area I was the only one for a long time. I post in Rubmaps and several other sights (same user name), but there are too many "one review wonders", fake reviews, and childish behavior, so I dont know how long I will stay.
Ive decided to take matters into my own hands. I've talked to a couple IT guys I trust, and we are going to check the possibility of creating our own "fantasy" sight, but that will be months away.
