Stings at 3 parlors in Redondo Beach

Today, there was a LE activity in Redondo Beach. There were 3 arrests at 3 different parlors. (1) A 47 yo. lady who ran the business(Mamasan/provider)was arrested for solicitation at SUNFLOWER MASSAGE. (2) ACE ACCUPRESSURE Which was probably the most damaging. A 31 yo. masseuse was arrested for solicition and the masseuses there had no city or state permits. So they're probably shut down for now. To bad for the mongers who were going to get a little something, something for the weekend there. Now they have to go to Plan B. (3) Another 47 yo. provider was arrested for solicitation and the establishment is called THE HEALING SPA.

Seems like Redondo Beach, Torrance,South bay area is not a good place to go amping these days

I don't get it, Redondo Beach and Torrance are sleppy, quiet little cities. I mean they are not downtown LA. I don't see why LE is interested in them, let them be...

3 arrested on suspicion of prostitution in Redondo Beach massage parlor sting
By Larry Altman Staff Writer

Three women were arrested on suspicion of prostitution during a police sting operation into allegedly illicit massage parlors in Redondo Beach, officers said Wednesday.

The women were arrested Tuesday by undercover officers posing as customers, Redondo Beach police Sgt. Jon Naylor said.

The officers went to five massage parlors following complaints about prostitution. Three of the businesses were found to be involved in the crime, police said.

Arrested were:

Xiang Barker, a 47-year-old Los Angeles resident who owns Sunflower Massage, at 1611 S. Catalina Ave. She also practices massage.

Mi Jung, a 31-year-old Los Angeles resident, at Ace Acupressure, 2705 Artesia Blvd.

Yushan Piao, a 47-year-old Los Angeles resident, at The Healing Spa, 914 Torrance Blvd.

In addition, detectives also found that masseuses at Ace Acupressure operating without state or city permits, Naylor said.

The women were booked at the Redondo Beach jail and released on their own recognizance.

The city prosecutor will determine what charges they might face.

Sunflower and Healing Spa are located in the wealthier areas of RB, so it stands to reason the residence are very sensitive to that type of crime.

With Ace, I'd bet money that it was the bar next door that called in the tip.

Similar to the the city of Irvine but Irvines reasoning is a family-orientated town as there are only a couple of EMP's. As I did some work out there for 1-2 years, trying to find a 7/11 after work was tough.

To bad, nothing like going to one place to get your head spinning, then going next door for the other head to get spun .
